On April 25, 7PM, Artists Without Walls, in conjunction with the Irish, Mexican and African-American communities of Lehman College, will be be presenting an outstanding blend of multi-cultural entertainment at Lehman.
Performers from Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the United States will be coming together–some will be performing together–during AWoW’s second visit to Lehman. Last November AWoW brought it’s multicultural show to Lehman and performed in front of a standing room only crowd.
Included in this year’s performance will be Nigerian spoken word artist, Koro, Irish singers and composers Owen and Moley O’Suilleabhain, Irish playwright Seamus Scanlon, German violinist Annette Homann, and Costa Rican dancer and choreographer Xio Evans.
Plenty of local talent will be participating, as well. Writer Billy Barrett, jazz artist Antoinette Montague, singer/songwriters Salina Sias and Honor Finnegan, and chanteuse and accordionist Marni Rice will all be hand. It promises to be a spectacular evening of entertainment.
