"RISE UP SINGING" at LEHMAN COLLEGE, THURSDAY, MAY 1, 7PM.

Come experience a wonderful collection of actors and musicians on Thursday, May 1, 7pm, at Lehman College, 250 West Bedford Park Blvd, Bronx, NY, as they perform in an Artists Without Walls’ production, “Rise Up Singing.”  The show, a multimedia presentation, explores the problems confronted by women and children in the workforce, past and present, through the use of song, live theater and film.

 

Included in the cast are: Top row, left to right, spoken word artist and poet Koro Koroye, singer Antoinette Montague, and actress Erin Layton. Second row, left to right, cellist Noah Hoffeld, actor Jack O’Connell, violinist, Annette Homann, and singer Niamh Hyland. Third row, left to right,  pianist Sharp Radway, singer Sofia Tosello, and singer/guitarist Diana Jones. The show was created by Charles R. Hale and is directed by Tara Elliott. 

 

The event is sponsored by Lehman College: The City and Humanities Program and the CUNY Institute for Irish American Studies. Thanks to the generosity of Lehman College, this is a free event. A reception will follow the event.
